About Grange Radio

Grange Radio is a project of the National Grange in partnership with the Grange Foundation, a 501(c)3 that seeks to advance the interests of rural Americans and agriculture through education, leadership and community development and services to enhance the lives of Grange members and their communities.
 

From music to old time radio shows to original content for Grange members and those who have not yet joined our more than 150-year-old fraternal organization, Grange Radio has a variety of content for you to enjoy.  

Our Shows

The Bob Charbonneau Show

This weekly one-hour music show is full of great tunes and tidbits. Debuts each Thursday evening at 8 p.m. with rebroadcasts at 9 p.m. Saturday, 10 p.m. Tuesdays and 2 p.m. Wednesdays.   Inside the Inner Gate This half-hour weekly show is full of great tunes and tidbits. Debuts on the second Sunday of each month at 4 p.m. with rebroadcasts at 3:30 p.m. each Friday and 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday.  

Juniors Pack your Passport

This monthly educational show aimed for the 5 to 14 crowd highlights a topic of a Junior Grange Passport and gives some insider information from someone who knows about the subject at hand. Debuts on the second Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. with rebroadcasts every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m.   

Theme Show

Listeners help control the content of this weekly music show by voting on the theme of upcoming episodes through the Grange Radio Facebook page. Debuts each Friday evening at 10 p.m. with rebroadcasts at 10 p.m. Saturday, midnight Wednesdays.  

iGrange

Similar to StoryCorps recordings, these short interviews feature members of the Grange from around the country providing an insight into their lives. New episodes debut on the first and third Monday of each month at 12:30 p.m. with episodes re-airing at random weekly at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.  

President’s Monthly Update

In her monthly five-minute show, National Grange President Betsy Huber provides reminders and news for members and those interested in joining the Grange. Aired weekly at noon on Sundays, Tuesday at 7 a.m. and Thursday at 11 p.m., the program debuts on the first Saturday of each month at 2 p.m.  

John Block Show

This weekly few-minute segment is recorded by former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture John Block (1981-85) who also serves on the Grange Advocacy board.  Block offers some insight in his short report from Washington on policy and politics especially related to agricultural issues. Debuts each Thursday at 9:55 a.m. and is aired every day at 9:55 a.m., 3:55 and 11:55 p.m.
